Thank you for your interest in NDK, we are celebrating the new year and are working hard to make it the best ever! As always we are more than happy to accommodate members of the press to cover our convention and we will try to meet all of your needs. However to make all of this possible, (and to prevent to many unnecessary headaches on your or our part) we will ask you to abide by a few minor guidelines to make everything go smoother. First we’ll go over a few basics and then get into the more technical stuff.

Registration Information coming soon, please be patient!

  • Name of your organization
  • What type of medium you specialize in (Web site, printed publication, etc.) Please also include how often you update your site, or how often your publication is printed.
  • Names of all members attending the show (limited to 4, if more is necessary for equipment setup or similar purposes, individual requests will be dealt with on a case by case basis)
  • E-mail address that will serve as a primary contact reference and place to send any additional information.
  • A primary mailing address
  • A phone number for any additional information

Please send all information to press liason.

Events and interviews

There will be a designated press room at the convention that will be used for daily press announcements of upcoming events and interviews and will also be used to conduct interviews. More information about the pressroom will become more available as the con comes closer and final preparations are made. Once a final guest and event list is ready, it will be sent to all registered press members. You will then be able to request access to certain events’ designated press area and to request interviews with our guests. We will try to allow everyone to have a one-on-one or group interview with all guests they request without other press organizations present. However, bear in mind that guests will already be on a tight schedule and in some cases this may not be possible, due to an excess of requests for a particular guest, or simply not enough time in a guest’s schedule, (We on staff may be able to survive on sodas and breakfast bars for a weekend, but our guests should have a few full meals each day.) If this is the case, some interviews may have to be put into groups of press personnel interviewing the same guest or have other interviews being conducted in the same room. Some interviews may be denied by the guest themselves, or may be impossible to schedule within the available time frames. Again, we will try our best, but we can’t promise anything. Standard interview slots will be 20 minutes each so that our guests are able to make their panels and events on time.

Press procedure

We ask that all of our press members to act in a professional manner when dealing with our guests, staff, and attendees, (this one should be obvious) If you have any questions or problems during the convention, I will have my cell phone on me at all times to assist you and convention Operations will be able to locate me quickly in case you need anything. Please try to abide by all of these guidelines so we are not forced to do anything rash, such as taking away your press pass, dragging you to the video game room and feeding you to “Bakudan.” Hey, he’s going to be in that room for a long time without eating, he’s bound to eat anything at that rate.
