Brett has been an anime voice-actor for over 12 torturous years. In the time between his first role as Washington in “Gunsmith Cats” to his most recent turn on Witch Blade, he has played almost 100 different characters, and subsequently has developed uncounted additional personalities.
He has also recently begun doing VA work in the video game industry as well. However, he’s best known as Carrot in “Sorcerer Hunters”, Gai Daigoji in “Nadesico”, Nabeshin in “Excel Saga” and Terrorist #2 in “Burn Up W”.
Brett isn’t just a voice actor – he also enjoys anime, manga, and comics. His favorite American comic is Ultimate Spider-Man; his favorite anime series are Cowboy Bebop and Trigun, and his favorite anime feature films are Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro and Spirited Away, despite his girlfriend’s constant attempts to win him over with Satoshi Kon movies (No, the haven’t seen Paprika yet.).
Aside from anime and voice-acting, Brett has also started playing drums again, and started back with his trumpet, is back performing in theatre, and enjoys biking around Austin, TX, playing with his dog Bob, gardening, photography, and cooking.
Brett loves talking and relaxing with anime fans (provided they have bathed within the past week), so stop by and say hi during one of his panels! (Please do not say “hi” with sharp poking devices.)
