Jason Martin
Jason’s career officially began in 1993. He impressed fellow artists and editors with his slick inking style, and became a highly sought-after talent in the comic industry. Jason has collaborated with all the major U.S. companies (Marvel, DC Comics, Image, etc.), and his resume includes books such as Battle Chasers, X-Men, Witchblade, GEN-13, and Thundercats to name a few.
Heather Martin
Heather started attending comic/anime conventions in 1996 as a freelance artist and fan. She contributed artwork to the independant publication Rhonda, and created promotional illustrations for Neko Con Ichi. In addition, Heather often worked as a booth model for several different companies/distributers. She was also invited to be a judge at numerous costume competitions throughout the U.S. Heather began her professional career as a colorist after she met Jason (in the summer of 2000).
Artplaymix.com Team
Jason and Heather met in the summer of 2000. Together they collaborated to develop a unique artistic style: merging Jason’s illustrative skills with Heather’s coloring talents. In 2001 they launched an online portfolio (now known as ‘Artplaymix.com’). Within a matter of months Jason and Heather’s artwork had attracted many new fans, and the Artplaymix.com Team was hired to create illustrations for Image Comics, PSM Magazine, and Official U.S. Playstation Magazine. Since then Jason and Heather have contributed character designs, pinups, and illustrative artwork to several nationwide (and worldwide) publications. Their clients include Ziff Davis, Paizo Publishing, Blimpie International, Play Magazine, Future Network USA, and many more! In 2005 they launched Faolain, a fairy tale-inspired webcomic.
