Attending Nan Desu Kan
Tagged with: attend, policies, press, registration, volunteer
Many people attend Nan Desu Kan every year. Some are normal attendees wanting to immerse themselves in anime and everything that has to do with it. Others are volunteers and staff that are working hard to put on a bigger and better convention every year. There are still others that are members of the press covering the convention so that they can spread the news to all their loyal fans. This leaves the question: What kind of attendee are you?
I am someone who just wants to have fun
If you are just wanting to go to the convention and indulge in all that is NDK, you are more than likely a regular registrant. In that case you would want to look at the registration page. There you will find out about the costs of attending con, the deadlines for registration and even how to do it.
I want to go and plan on reporting about it on a news site or podcast
If this is the case, then you are likely press. You will still have to register like a normal attendant, but we ask that you let us know you are milling about in advance. This way we can get you a press badge and help you look more official if you plan on doing any sort of photography or interviews. View the press page for the fine details on attending as a reporter.
I want to help make NDK better
Some people like to be generous with their time. There are a number of ways to help with the convention activities and as a bonus, they can get you free stuff. Depending on how many hours you put in, you can earn a free t-shirt or even a full weekend pass to the next year’s convention. Unless you earned it last year, you would still need to register for 2007. There are more details to it, but just take a look at the volunteer page for more information and what is required of you.
