Gimme Anime Revamps Its Website

Gimme Anime has been serving up anime to Denver and its surrounding areas for 5 years now. It even sold outside that area via its website. As with all things technology, things move really fast and it is real easy to get behind the times. Gimme is not immune and the website was a sign of that with the outdated design.
The Web 2.0 influx as of late has made a lot of independent business’ designs look rather aged. They just can’t compare to the slick interfaces of today with the fancy tooltips and slick effects. So it was good to see when Roger, owner of Gimme Anime, stopped by our forums and announced his recent redesign.
It is running on a new backend called Joomla! for the main portion of the site. It will allow for him to post news more easily and should help productivity and provide more site updates. In addition they now have a gallery powered by the popular Gallery 2 software. It has a few NDK pictures in there for those of you still looking for some. The last bit of update is the new forum powered by the same software NDK uses, Simple Machines Forum. Previously they were using an outside service, so the old posts and members could not be imported. This site is all decked-out and should server them well for a while.
I encourage you to stop by and give it a good look over. Maybe purchase a few things to make things work right and to, of course, support a local institution. Don’t forget to drop by their forum and give them your opinion
